Trackademic

Overview

Trackademic is an academic-intelligence hub for school and university students, with a Sri Lanka-first localization (English, Sinhala, Tamil). It goes beyond a GPA calculator: credit-weighted focus, grade prediction, an AI study coach that can optionally ground answers in uploaded PDFs (RAG), Google Calendar sync, attendance risk alerts, and light gamification.

Problem

Students juggle GPA rules, assignments, and attendance without a single place that explains what to focus on next. Spreadsheet GPA tools do not coach, and generic AI chat does not know a student’s modules or PDFs.

What I built

• GPA dashboard with credit-weighted planning
• Grade prediction and focus recommendations
• AI study coach with optional PDF RAG (Gemini embeddings / OpenRouter)
• Google Calendar sync for deadlines
• Attendance risk alerts
• Trilingual UI and a waitlist-grade product shell on Supabase
• Stripe-ready billing path and Vercel deployment

Impact

• Product-shaped EdTech demo used as the closest analogue to learner-support platforms in internship applications
• Multilingual UX aimed at Sri Lankan classrooms, not only English-first SaaS
• Work submitted toward IEEE INSL 2026

Technologies

Next.js, React, TypeScript, Supabase, PostgreSQL, Google Gemini / OpenRouter, Stripe, and Vercel. Authentication is handled through Supabase.
