CSSL GenZ Chapter Official Website

Overview

This is the official website for the CSSL GenZ Chapter at the University of Colombo School of Computing. It is the chapter’s public face for programmes, events, and community — the URL you can put on LinkedIn, event pages, and university channels.

Live: www.ucscgenz.lk.

Induwara’s relationship with the chapter is two-title: Lead (May 2026–Present) and previously Member (September 2025–May 2026). The site and the leadership role are the same job: make the chapter findable and credible.

Problem

Student and young-professional chapters disappear when they have no durable web presence. A Facebook page is not an official site. CSSL GenZ needed a professional, fast, SEO-friendly surface that survives admin turnover.

What I built

• Chapter identity, programmes, and community copy
• Event listings and updates
• Responsive layout for students on mobile
• Next.js App / pages with TypeScript and Tailwind CSS
• Production domain at ucscgenz.lk

Impact

• Official chapter URL in production
• Aligns with Lead / Member roles on the community page of this portfolio
• A maintainable Next.js site instead of an abandoned social tab
